The year that was

As we reach the end of 2020, a year that so many people are glad to see the back of, I am looking back at the year that was.

In early 2020, my home state, Victoria , Australia went into lockdown with the Covid-19 pandemic. Just about everything but supermarkets and petrol stations were closed. The biggest adjustment for many was the introduction of home schooling. It took me a few days to get used to it but then I realised something interesting. It turned out that I absolutely loved home schooling my son! Not only did I get to spend all day with him, we’d set the timetable in the morning then get on with the day, but I was able to see just how hungry his mind really was. We had a ball working together and he said I was the best teacher he’d ever had. Too sweet.

During lock down I was also able to write until my heart was content. No longer was I considered a shut in for being indoors and at home all of the time. I was pretty productive. I wrote 3 books in the 8 month lock down period and edited another one which was my second book with Boldwood Books. I fell into a real groove that was only interrupted when my son and I had an 8 day stay in hospital. Those were not fun times either.

With the closing of one door, another one opens, so as this year draws to an end, the next year beckons. What does it hold? I have my third book with Boldwood Books coming out in March, called Who Do You Trust? I can’t wait for you all to read this one. It’s another stand alone book and I’ll pop the blurb under the books tab if you want to take a look.
I have also been busy writing two books that will hopefully be out next year also. It’s the first and second of a series called A Graystone Thriller. It promises to be very dark and have a twisted ending as usual.

Take care everyone x
