New Beginnings

Hi everyone, my name is Kirsty and I want to thank you for stopping by to have a look around my website. I write in many genres as I like to taste a little bit of everything but I am drawn to crime and thrillers. I find the inner workings of the mind a deep, dark and wonderful place with the scope for many twists and turns in books, after all, the mind is a powerful tool.

My writing can take you to some dark places and explores the ugly underbelly of my character’s lives, so I must put in a warning here as I discuss some serious and topical themes within my stories. Great, now that’s out of the way, we can chat for a bit. If you’re the type of reader who likes to play it safe and are looking for a happy ever after, then this is not the place for you. If, on the other hand, if you’re the type of reader who loves dark novels and likes to be kept guessing right up until the end, then pull up a chair and sit down.

While I haven’t published everything that I have written, I have penned over thirty novellas and novels which one day I plan to release, when I have the time that is. My current novel will be out in the June 2020 and I plan to give my readers a book that will keep them turning the pages long into the night. I tend to favour devious twists and I delve deep into a character’s motivations and psyche. Why do they do what they do? What fuels them to commit crimes? How do they react to the consequences?

I also have a strong interest in mental health issues in women and I often base my stories in small towns as that is where my experience lies. I have had a love of writing since I was a young child, escaping into the worlds that I created, turning words into nightmares (yes, I was always a dark child). I love looking at a blank page and seeing all the possibilities that are available to me. I enjoy exploring plots and rarely do I have a plan, I just write as the words come to me. They call that a pantser. I like that word. Basically, I fly by the seat of my pants when it comes to writing a manuscript, and anything at all can happen as the story unfolds.

I’ll keep you all informed of books, upcoming new releases, cover reveals and competitions, so check back again soon. X
